Did you ever listen the chirping souds of birds ? Did you ever see the rising Sun? The list continues.... (This is not the end )

Do you want to know about Tirupati BALAJI

Many of my friends have lot of doubts and un-answered questions on Tirupati, Tirumala and Lord Balaji. You can find answers regarding Traveling, Staying etc. from the people who already visited or from tirumala.org website etc... There are some questions which my friends ask me (as I come from Tirupati) like, Does lord Balaji have long hair? Is there a big hole behind lord Balaji's Idol ? You can't find authenticated answers to these questions any ware. There are another set of questions regarding utsavams, culutural practices, theerthams etc. for which it is very difficult to find right answers. If you also have such questions or you want see the answers to these type of questions then definetly you need to join/visit an orkut community called Tirupati Venkateswara-Balaji . As this community is maintained by a Priest (Ramakrisna Dixit Archakam) who really touches and offers puja to the feet of Lord Balaji, the information provided will be authentic and practical. H

Why you should not enter into Chain Marketting

This is an email on chain marketting from my friend Vamshi Shekhar. (Published with his persmission). Last week I was invited by one of my close associate to a chain marketing company(QuestNet) which as usual claims to be legal, credible and give you a dreams of making easy bucks. I spent the whole evening talking to the executives there. I was surprised to see a lot of educated people(mostly software employees) jumping in to this stuff. I wasn't convinced with the proofs of the credibility, legality or the business plan of the company. So I started researching on these and found some facts, which I think would be helpful for you guys in making further decisions. Legal Issues These guys claims to be following referral marketing strategy even though it is very much same as multi level marketing. Multilevel marketing is banned in our country under Prize Chits and Money Circulation Scheme (banning) Act, 1978. Any sort of network marketing is banned. Please have a look at all th

Save Rocks

Yesterday, I visited a fort in devarakonda with the Save Rocks group. It was a nice fort with well built facilities like, wells, lakes, cannon camps etc... We had some rock climbing experts with us and they helped us to do bouldering. The fort is built surrounding five hills. All the water which flow down the hill is stored in small dams built under them. There were lot of paddy fields one side of the fort which gives a beautiful sight from the top of the hill (one of the five hills). It was very relieving to see the nature full of rocks and greenery after being in Hyderabad containing lot of Traffic and Pollution. It takes 2 hours to reach the place from Hyderabad. We need to save these forts (which showcase our natural heritage) and pass them on to the future generations. Save Rocks Society: The aim of the society is to make people reliaze the beauty of rocks (which take millions of years to form naturally) to people and save them from destroying. In the effort of d

Yahoo is forgetting its biggest asset "Yahoo Groups"

Yahoo is trying to compete in social networking with rest of the world (facebook, orkut, myspace). It started 360,kickstart and now it is pursuing inbox2.0. (You can read the history here .) Yahoo has large user base with Yahoo mail which is shifting towards google these days. But still yahoo owns an asset which no one can steal from it. It is yahoo groups. It is very difficult to move for people from yahoo groups to google groups as there are many groups with large no. of users and are created long back. Yahoo can concentrate on turning yahoo groups into social networking without changing its simplicity (the beauty of yahoo groups).

Friend Vs Best Friend

Friend: calls your parents by mr. and mrs. Best friend: calls your parents dad and mom. Friend: has never seen you cry Best friend: has always had the best shoulder to cry on Friend: never asks for anything to eat or drink Best friend: opens the fridge and makes herself at home Friend: asks you to write down your number. Best friend: they ask you for their number (cuz they can't remember it) Friend: borrows your stuff for a few days then gives it back. Best friend: has a closet full of your stuff Friend: only knows a few things about you Best friend: could write a biography on your life story Friend: will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing Best friend: will always go with you Source: From my best friend

A Good Story

Once upon a time.... There was a rich King who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best. He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another. He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confidante and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her to help him get through the difficult times. The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her. One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and pondered, "I now have 4 wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone. Thus, he asked the

Bank account of Life

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with R86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every “evening” deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!!!! Each of us has such a “bank”. It’s name is TIME Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time. And remember that time waits for no one. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it’s called …. the Present!! Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and enco

Business is business!

One day at a school in Rocky Mount, North Carolina of USA, a teacher said to the class of 5-year-olds, " Children, I'll give $20 to the one who can tell me who was the most famous man who ever lived on our planet earth." An Irish boy put his hand up and said, "It was St. Patrick." The teacher said, "Sorry Alan, that's not correct." Then a Scottish boy put his hand up and said, "It was St. Andrew." The teacher replied, "I'm sorry, Hamish, that's not right either. Finally, a Gujarati boy raised his hand and said, "It was Jesus Christ." The teacher said, "That's absolutely right. Avi, come up here. Take your $20." As the teacher was giving Avi his money, she said, "You know Avi, you are a Gujarati and I am very surprised you said Jesus Christ." Avi replied, "Yes, in my heart I knew it was Lord Krishna, but business is business!" Source: Mail Forward from a friend

A Love Story

Lady : Why do you like me..? Why do you love me? Man : I can't tell the reason.. but I really like you.. Lady : You can't even tell me the reason... how can you say you like me? How can you say you love me? Man : I really don't know the reason, but I can prove that I love you. Lady : Proof? No! I want you to tell me the reason. My friend's boyfriend can tell her why he loves her but not you! Man : Ok..ok!!! Erm... because you are beautiful, because your voice is sweet, because you are caring, because you are loving, because you are thoughtful, because of your smile, because of your every movements. The lady felt very satisfied with the man's answer. Unfortunately, a few days later, the Lady met with an accident and became comma. The Guy then placed a letter by her side, and here is the content: ========= Darling, Because of your sweet voice that I love you... Now can you talk? No! Therefore I cannot love you. Because of

A Funny Story

A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialled the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper. "Hello?" "Is your daddy home?" he asked. "Yes," whispered the small voice. "May I talk with him?" The child whispered, "No." Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mummy there?" "Yes." "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "No." Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?" "Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman." Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?" "No, he's busy", whispered the child. "Busy doing what?" "Talking to Mumm

Chicken Pox

Got chicken pox in the middle of last month. Currently it got cured but need to be on diet for one more month. Did not able to attend my friend's sister's marriage. Important things regarding chicken pox: 1. Currently it is getting spread in Hyderabad. 2. It spreads by getting exposed directly (by touching the blisters) or indirectly ( by air) to the person who already got it. 3. You won't get Chicken pox if you already got it once in your life. 4. It may attack in 3 weeks once you get your self exposed. 5. Go to doctor if you see at least one/two blisters on the skin. What if you already got chicken pox: 1. If you see the symptoms of chicken pox ( white colored blisters through out the body) then don't get panic. 2. Visit your nearest doctor. 3. Don't expose yourself to sunlight. 4. Go to home, take rest and listen to your parents. 5. Tell to your parents to consult Homoeopathy doctor to get preventive medicines for your rest of the family so that it won

What Is Intelligence, Anyway? - Isaac Asimov

When I was in the army, I received the kind of aptitude test that all soldiers took and, against a normal of 100, scored 160. No one at the base had ever seen a figure like that, and for two hours they made a big fuss over me. (It didn't mean anything. The next day I was still a buck private with KP - kitchen police - as my highest duty.) All my life I've been registering scores like that, so that I have the complacent feeling that I'm highly intelligent, and I expect other people to think so too. Actually, though, don't such cores simply mean that I am very good at answering the type of academic questions that are considered worthy of answers by people who make up the intelligence tests - people with intellectual bents similar to mine? For instance, I had an auto-repair man once, who, on these intelligence tests, could not possibly have scored more than 80, by my estimate. I always took it for granted that I was far more intelligent than he was. Yet, when any

Master Your Fears

"Doubt and fear are the great enemies of knowledge, and he who encourages them, who does not slay them, thwarts himself at every step." -- As A Man Thinketh I've heard it said that we're born with only a few fears - like the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. All other fears we learn along the way. Like the fear of failure, the fear of rejection - even a fear of success. I believe our greatest enemy in life is fear, because fear keeps us from doing many of those things we would like to do that would make our life more complete and more enjoyable. Doubt is the firs cousin of fear and precedes it. We weren't born with doubt. Our habit of doubt has grown throughout our life. If we dwell on a doubt and give in to it, it then grows into fear. The Apostle James reminds us that doubt makes us ineffective, "a sea that is tossed and driven by the wind; and every decision you then make will be uncertain, as you turn first this way, and then that."
